12/24/19---MARINETTE COUNTY SNOWMOBILE ALLIANCE TRAIL REPORT
PEMENEE RIVER RIDERS:
Trails are holding up as best as possible with the weather that we're having. The trail to Norway has still not been groomed. Trail to Four Seasons has not been groomed. All trails are rideable, but very early conditions and may not hold up the best if the weather continues as it is. The trails are now all cleared. The Norway trail beyond the mine is not groomed. The Niagara and Dunbar trails have been groomed. There are still a few branches that need to be cut but for the most part we are all cleared and continue to groom.
RANGER CITY RIDERS:
Trail Update - RCR Trail System is partially open with early season conditions and should ride with cation. Our grooming operations have been postponed until the warm up passes - Highway Trail, West Trail (from Amberg to Highway C), North Trail (our trail is closed between Black Sam Rd and Westberg Rd due to a major trail repair please note DETOUR down Black Sam Rd to Westberg and back at trail head. Detour is marked). Trails that are closed: Hazelnut Loop (closes until clean-up is complete), West Trail (from C south to Wausaukee is closed as we are still clearing trees and checking swamps), East Trail (trail remains closed until crews can check it out). Please be alert and ride safe!
The North and West trails have been groomed earlier this week. All other trails in good riding condition. The swamp areas cannot be groomed and we are cautioning riders to avoid those areas and to be cautious of other wet areas. The ATV & UTV trails are open all year except for the spring break-up period, but due to the warm temperatures, we are asking riders at this time to stay off of the trails to preserve the base that we now have. Once the cold temperatures and freezing temps return you are welcome to ride our trails once again. NEAR NORTH CLUB EVENT!!!! Our Annual Meat Raffle is coming up on January 11. 2020 to be held at Crazy Guys Saloon on County Rd A & C from noon to 4 PM. There will also be bucket raffles and a 50/50 raffle.
DUN-GOOD RIDERS: Trails are open. Grooming will continue thru the week. Use caution because of the
warm weather. Wheeled vehicles cause problems with the wet snow and warm temperatures.
